Specialization: 19th- and 20th-Century American Literature

Interests: I’m interested in American romanticism, philosophy and religious thought, modernism, postmodernism, Friedrich Nietzsche, Saul Bellow, and discovering commonalities in these seemingly random subjects.  I also enjoy good conversation over coffee, rummaging through old book/music shops, and laughing spontaneously with my wife, son, and daughter.
