Professor Martha J. Cutter was awarded a $60,000 National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellowship for the academic year Sept. 2019-Sept. 2020, for her book project “Slavery as Spectacle: The Lives and Afterlives of Henry Box Brown, the Slave who Mailed Himself to Freedom.”
