The English Department has a long-standing commitment to help English majors shape prospective careers and achieve professional success through the Writing Internship Program. The program places students in professional environments, working with professional writers on real-life problems. Current placements include positions in museums such as the New Britain Museum of American Art, journalism opportunities such as NPR, publishing houses, advertising agencies, and a variety of other businesses and organizations that employ writers and editors. Positions are available both on or off campus, during the spring, fall, and summer semesters, and are available for one to six academic credits.
