Suzanne Barnett

Visiting Assistant Professor



Suzanne Barnett is a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at UConn.

She is also the author of Romantic Paganism: The Politics of Ecstasy in the Shelley Circle (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018) and co-editor of Material Transgressions: Beyond Romantic Bodies, Genders, Things (Liverpool UP, 2020). She also has essays in Frankenstein and Its Classics: The Modern Prometheus from Antiquity to Science Fiction (Bloomsbury Academic, 2018), Keats’s Negative Capability: New Origins and Afterlives (Liverpool University Press, 2019). Her articles have also appeared in Essays in Romanticism, the Keats-Shelley Journal, Romantic Circles, the Keats Letters Project, and PMLA. She is an associate editor of Romantic Circles Reviews & Receptions and the co-editor of an ongoing series of digital editions of William Godwin’s Juvenile Library texts for Romantic Circles.
