About

Will is a PhD candidate in the Medieval Studies program. His research interests include:

  • British literature
  • Insular and Scandinavian and Continental medieval literature
  • Middle English and Old Norse-Icelandic romances
  • Arthurian tradition
  • American medievalisms

Will approaches texts through the New Materialisms, a branch of posthumanist criticism that decenters the anthropocentric “Individual.” His scholarship also engages genre studies, translation and adaptation studies, and gender studies.

Further, Will is interested in public-facing scholarship about American medievalisms, modern fantasy and horror in film and literature, and both table-top and digital role-playing games.
