Heon Jeon is an Associate Professor in Residence of English and an Associate Director of Writing Center. His research interest is Second Language Writing. Specifically, Heon focuses on exploring the nature of learning transfer in English for Academic Purposes. He is also interested in developing innovative feedback practices using technology, such as screencast video feedback. Additionally, Heon investigates the nature of second language writing teacher expertise. His research has been published in well-known journals, including RELC Journal, Journal of Response to Writing, and MATSOL Currents. Heon regularly presents his research on Second Language Writing at prominent international conferences, including Symposium on Second Language Writing, American Association of Applied Linguistics, TESOL Convention, and Second Language Research Forum.
