Serkan Görkemli

Serkan Görkemli (he/him) is an associate professor of English at the University of Connecticut and teaches writing and literature at the Stamford campus. His research and publications focus on LGBTQ+ literacies and storytelling. He is the author of two books: Sweet Tooth and Other Stories (University Press of Kentucky, 2024) and Grassroots Literacies: Lesbian and Gay Activism and the Internet in Turkey (SUNY Press, 2014; winner of the 2015 Lavender Rhetorics Book Award presented by the Conference on College Composition and Communication). Originally from Türkiye, he has a PhD in English from Purdue University and lives in New York.
